“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything” Michael J Fox
Hosted by Jeff and Sue Allen, international life coaches and founders of VisionWorks for Life. As well as being parents and grandparents, Sue is an ex-teacher and and Jeff has co-written, “Steps to Conscious Parenting”.
They will be joined by Bindi Gauntlett, who has worked with families for nearly 40 years and and knows that there is never ‘one way’ to ‘do parenting’. Bindi is a mother, stepmother and grandmother and has parented through both easy times and hard. Her personal and professional experiences led her to use the ‘Just What We Need’ programme for parents. This model helps parents at any stage to respond rather than react to their own triggers and their children’s behaviour. Bindi understands that profound changes can be made from a lighthearted exploration of our experiences and our goals. Bindi is a psychotherapist, trainer, author and co-founder of in8 and ‘Anxiety Freedom Cards’
We all face challenges at times, do any of these ring a bell?
- repeating the same negative patterns
- struggling to understand each other
- feeling there is no hope for change?
During this interactive evening we will explore:
- understanding how to recognise and respond to needs
- principles for effective communication
- parenting and trust
- from terrible twos to teenage troubles
