We are exhausted and exhausted for all the best reasons. We have completed a week of celebrating the marriage of David Ward and our Katie who, while she is still ours, is also his Katie. We have grown as a family and we have grown as a community. We had 150+ of friends and family celebrate with us and it was a joyous week.
It was a triumph!
Celebrating is great fun and we are committing to do it more often. I guess celebration and gratitude go hand in hand and some say gratitude is the mother of all emotions. Celebration is a way of ritualising our gratitude and we all have much to be grateful for. I know it is difficult to keep our mind on the gratitude and easy for us to buy into the grievances, the envy and the comparisons, but gratitude is something we all could practice a little more.
We are certainly most grateful to all those that have walked with us at different times in our lives and every now and then it all comes together in a massive outpouring of joy and love. It changed us all.
Sharing at its best comes from deep within each of us. Let’s all remember to celebrate more often, not indulge or sacrifice but to come together in joy and harmony. The world – and our life together – needs a little more of that!
