2014
For many of us this year started of with a certain amount of turbulence, storms and travel disruption so there has been plenty of time for reflection. By tradition it is a time to set goals and clean up our act if only for a few days or weeks but I think it is time to take the whole process to a more profound level and this is the recognition that we are really, really being asked to change.
Not only are we being asked to change but also to take a leadership position regarding this process and our lives. It is so easy for us to see where others need to change. All of us want things to be different in our lives however none of this will happen unless and until we are willing to change and also take a leadership position by leading and showing the way.
We all have leadership qualities and it is our willingness to share those gifts and qualities with the people around us and the world in general that makes us leaders. In our world we see poor levels of governance that are showing up as disaster areas, totally lacking in care for the people and seldom transcending self-interest. Yet more and more people are confronting the reactionaries who show us all our fear of change, and we see some people in power being really challenged around the choices they offer. Instead of despairing at this state of affairs, we must recognise we are all being asked to step up to become leaders in our own right and share ourselves with those around us especially those who find themselves struggling in some way.
2014 is a year of change and we are all being asked to do that. It is our change that will be our salvation and if we have the courage to continue on this path of change then we will play our part in the salvation of those around us.
We send our love and blessings to you all that this year of change will be easy and graceful, and that we all support each other to make the changes we are being called to make and become the leaders we have all been waiting for.
With love, and happy new year,
Jeff and Sue
