For years now we have enjoyed the presence of so many babies in our seminars around the world and for that we have felt blessed and now again we are reminded of the miracle of birth just a little closer to home.
This week we have had the privilege and pleasure of welcoming our first grandchild into this world. At 9.20pm on July 30th in Kings College Hospital in London, Jess and David gave birth to Dotty Ena Allen who weighed in at 7 pounds 10 ozs.
42 hours earlier Jess’s waters had broken and contractions started 18 hours later when she was admitted to hospital. The next 24 hours was a rollercoaster for all of us as we followed each step and the accompanying emotions. All day Tuesday we went from high to lows as Jess was doing brilliantly even as the increasingly powerful contractions took their toll on all of their energies.
It was a day of putting into practice so many of the healing lessons we have learned over the years with Psychology of Vision and finally as we all sat in a pub around the corner from the hospital the news of Dotty’s arrival came to floods of relief and celebration. An hour later we were allowed onto the ward to take a few minutes to soak up the beauty of Dotty and her parents.
